Baker of the San Francisco Gate writes that yesterday, United Auto Workers President Bob King stated that he is hoping to secure another meeting with Elon Musk, the founder and CEO of Tesla Motors, to discuss the UAW’s potential representation of Tesla employees. This news comes on the heels of the UAW’s painful defeat during an organizing campaign at Volkswagen’s plant in Chattanooga, TN. King, interestingly, was tempered in his remarks, stating that Tesla was not an immediate priority.
Medfor Teachers Return To Work: The Associated Press reports teachers in Medford School District in Medford, OR have returned to work after an almost three-week labor strike. Classes started up again yesterday after teachers and management officials agreed on a new three-year contract. The contract is expected to be ratified by both parties by the end of the week.
