"Disney labor leader wants unions to build political presence" - Orlando Sentinel
Ed Chambers is president of the Service Trades Council, the labor group that represents more than 20,000 full-time workers at Walt Disney World. Chambers, 54, is also president of United Food and Commercial Workers 1625, which represents Disney merchandise workers, florists and tip-earning banquet workers, and is one of six unions in the council. He spoke with the Sentinel's Jason Garcia.

"Transport Workers, Communications Workers Form New Partnership" -- EON
The Transport Workers Union of America and the Communications Workers of America have voted to work together in a new affiliation. The new partnership was unanimously endorsed by the executive boards of both unions.
The two unions represent more than 120,000 airline workers and are joining forces to support bargaining and organizing at American Airlines and campaigns at other airlines.
